Standard Time Awards

What is it?

The standard time scheme gives members of Stocksfield Striders the opportunity to be rewarded for their
personal achievements and act as an incentive to improve their times for various distances.

At the end of each year members will be rewarded with a certificate appropriate to the standard
achieved. The scheme runs from 1st January to 31st December.

How does it work?

There are time standards for each age group – you age group standards should be taken from your age on 1st
January of the year your award is to be made i.e. for this year age on 1st January 2017.

There are race distances ranging from 5k to marathon. All members have six standards to work towards –
Tin, Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

There are Standard Times for Men and Women

How do I get and award?

To be awarded a certificate you must complete at least three different distances at one standard. All times must be
achieved at recognised England Athletics affiliated events with accurately measured courses (no fun runs, mixed terrain or cross country events). We have added all parkruns even though they aren't affiliated events.

Each member wishing to participate will need to submit details of their best times for the distances by the end of
December so that results can be verified.

A note of to whom to send these and a reminder will be sent out to everyone.

When will awards be made?

Certificates will be awarded at our Annual Awards night in January.
